Modern Farmhouse Bedroom in 2018

Farmhouse style has become one of the most popular style for residential interiors. If you watch TV and you watch HGTV non-stop then you’ll know Fixer Upper which is essentially the show that put Farmhouse style on the map. The big question is why do people like farmhouse style? What is so interesting about this style?

There isn’t one answer to these questions but the main attraction is that it provides a country feel that is comfortable and cosy. It also mixes a bit of the rustic elements to add a touch of uniqueness so different textures and colour of metal are scattered throughout the whole space. Black metal bed and a couple of galvanized accessories such as a table lamp can instantly bring that rustic country feel.

Shiplap, shiplap, shiplap! this has become the defining feature for farmhouse style. Essentially, a newly decorated house cannot claim to be a farmhouse style unless it has shiplap. This is where the modern interpretation of this style comes in, creating an accent wall using shiplap in a horizontal pattern is all the farmhouse decor you need.

We have selected images of beautiful bedrooms that demonstrate the perfect combination of modern and farmhouse.
