These days, we absorb a great deal of interior content due to social media. You might think you understand your style until you find one picture on Instagram or Pinterest and all of a sudden your style changes.

  1. Bed

The anchor of the room, the bed will use up the most square footage in the master bedroom.

Ensure that you have selected the right size whether it’s a full, queen, king or California King because a bed that is too big will instantly make the room feel smaller and not allow any other furniture in the room. 2. Nightstand

Well the best organization solution for you would be a nightstand, it’s a great furniture with drawers. As a stylish addition to the bedroom, it perfectly complements the bed.

A side table is a great alternative, especially for a small space, it is light weight and has an airy structure. 

3. Wall Art

There are so many options when it comes to art, online retailers including Etsy, Redbubble, Envato, and Society 6 are filled with creatives with unique artwork.

The most notable pictures in a bedroom are usually nature or serene coastal images and on these websites photographers share their best coastal images from around the world.

To locate a trendy art piece, popular retailers like Target, Homegood, Crate and Barrel, West Elm and Pottery Barn are a great option.

4. Statement Lighting

There are three different types of lighting: task, mood and general lighting.

Task lighting are for performing specific activities such as reading and writing at night they include wall mounted light, table and floor lamp.

A chandelier is a perfect example of a statement piece that can become a focal point which will help complete the room.

5. Rug

Comfort under your feet when you wake up, area rugs are great if you have hardwood or tile floors in the bedroom.

They are also a stylish decorative feature that can instantly transform the bedroom. Common rug sizes are 3×5, 4×6, 5×8, 6×9, 8×10, 9×12, and 10×14. 

6. Throw Pillow

Add a pop of colour using throw pillows, there are several decorative pillows that serve different use.

There is the standard, ruffle pillow, lumbar, kidney, neck roll, and bolster. To get that hotel look layer your pillows. 

7. Comforter

As the name implies, a comforter is for comforting you while you sleep.

The patterns and colours available in the market are endless, but to achieve a hotel clean look, stick with neutral tones.

It will help the room have a fresh and peaceful feel. Blankets and throws can be added for additional décor and color.
